Developing trust and loyalty by displaying honesty and integrity

About Us

Slater 2010 Ltd began as Colin Slater Contractor Ltd, a small business established in 1984 by Colin and Bronwyn Slater and operated from a home office. Today, with over 25 years experience we have grown to a loyal team of more than 30 highly qualified operators and drivers, extensive modern and reliable plant and equipment, and a purpose built site at 7 Mahuta Station Road, Huntly.

The family business was renamed in 2010 and is owned by myself, and managed by my son Kris and I. As Transport and Operations Manager, Kris manages the daily operations of the businesses contracts, staff and machinery. Being brought up in the industry, his knowledge and experience gives him the expertise to provide our clients with a quality and efficient service - delivering earthmoving and transport projects to the highest standards.

As a leader in the earthworks and transport industry, we work closely with large organisations such as Solid Energy and Genesis. Our management and team are very familiar with the strict rules and regulations required and have comprehensive policies and procedures in place, along with strong health and safety standards, and are proactive in the field of environmental management.

I believe the communication between staff and management is a priority to a successful working relationship, and this is the key ingredient to completing contracts and day works jobs on time and well beyond the minimum standards required. We also have specific management skills, systems and experience which ensures deadlines and targets are met and 100% compliance with consent
conditions is achieved.

Based in the North Waikato, we value the credibility we've built in our local community. From small one-off projects to large contracts, we are committed to forming ongoing professional relationships.

We welcome the opportunity to meet with you to discuss your project requirements.
